November’s TF of the Month over 2500 sq ft
A home by Brooks Post & Beam, Inc.
Phil & Kathy Trasatti first approached us to build a home for their young family in 1984. 5 years later they asked us to add on a family room, study and bedroom addition for their growing family. In 2005 they showed up again, with two projects under their belt they knew exactly what they wanted, a lakefront home for their active family!
The great room, study, screened porch and all three bedrooms have lakeside views. The full walkout basement enables the modest 32′x38′ footprint to brag almost 3000 square feet. And all three floors have a 3/4 or full bath. But the most striking feature is when you step through the front door. From street-side the house is attractive and neat. Step through the front door and while appreciating the spacious kitchen with a full island your eyes will be drawn across the formal dining area, toward the great room framed by white pine valley rafters to take in a magnificent view of a crystal clean New Hampshire lake 30 feet below.
Last year like clockwork our favorite repeat customers showed up again as their youngest packed up for college, this time we renovated their sunroom into a new kitchen, with the kids away they are using their home differently and spending more and more time at the lake, Who would blame them?! But why stop now, its time for the kids to start building timber frames!
