Trillium Dell Timberworks built this Rushville, Illinois timber frame home for a family of four. Trillium Dell Timberworks is a custom design/build timber frame shop. In this frame, we sawed the timbers on our Woodmizer bandsaw, followed by planing on our four-sided Weinig Profimat 45. The frame was sourced from local, selectively harvested stands of timber and contains a natural mix of native timbers. We hand-cut this frame out of white oak and complimentary white ash rafters, walnut knee braces and honey locust floor joists. Architectural drawings were provided in-house by our creative and experienced design and engineering team. We installed the frame, along with energy efficient wall and roof SIP’s panels. Pine tongue and groove sheathing was factory applied to the underside of the roof SIPs, creating a finished vaulted ceiling. The white oak timber frame porch welcomes visitors.
